Privacy and security is very important. Every computer user does not like that their computer being explored by strangers, which may result in data theft. Now for privacy and security reasons, you can easily lock computer using a USB Flash drive while moving away from computer for sometime.
Just remove connected USB drive from the computer to lock it while stepping away from PC. Connect USB key back to unlock and resume work. It’s so simple and easy but how you can do it, just follow these steps:
Steps to lock PC with USB flash drive:
1- Download and install Predator software.
2- Connect USB Flash drive to PC and run Predator application.
3- Preferences window will open (as seen in screenshot below).
4- Enter the password (lock code) for locking and unlocking of PC with USB Drive.
5- Select USB Flash drive letter from dropdown menu and Click Create key and press OK button.
How to LOCK PC using Predator application?
After setting up using above method, make sure USB Flash Drive is inserted into your PC and Predator application is running. When you want to move away, remove USB key drive from PC. This will disable mouse, keyboard and darken the display screen. To unlock and resume work, connect USB flash drive to the computer.
